Phantom Phunk made a decision early on to resist teaming up with a manager to play the local circuit and morph into someone else’s vision. Instead, they became the house band at a Tampa music studio, Harmonic Factory and master of their own destiny. They spent nearly two years concentrating on composing music, writing lyrics, recording and self-producing their debut album, Arboles Ossific. Featured songs include the Pink Floyd style instrumental “Distant Kaleidoscopes, the arena anthem “Snowy in Florida,” the summer sing-a-long “The Unheard Spirit Symphony,” the cult-collector’s shadowy “Looping,” the jam band epic “Tommy’s Cosmic Avocado,” and the hip-hop/electro-rock ‘mega hybrid’ “Jungle Crunch.” Mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London, England, Arboles Ossific is the album indie-rock fans have been searching for.
